The Fix Creative Ltd in Birmingham are seeking an experienced Senior Scenic Carpenter for a part-time role with overtime potential. The position combines workshop fabrication with site installations, covering theatre, TV, film, advertising and events.

You will interpret technical drawings, lead workshop production, supervise freelance carpenters, and help deliver high-quality, on-time projects across diverse sites. Strong craft, problem-solving and communication are essential.

Senior Scenic Carpenter – Part-Time + Overtime

Location: Birmingham / West Midlands

Salary: £36 pro rata (2.5 days a week) + overtime

Hours: Part-time initially, with the potential to develop into a full-time position

The Opportunity

A growing scenic design and construction company based in Birmingham is looking for an experienced Senior Scenic Carpenter to join its workshop team.

The company works across theatre, television, film, advertising and live events, producing a wide range of bespoke work including scenic sets, architectural facades, props, furniture, installations and one-off creative pieces.

This role would suit an experienced scenic carpenter or fabricator who enjoys combining traditional craftsmanship with modern fabrication techniques, CAD and practical problem-solving.

It is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of projects, contribute ideas and play an important role in the continued growth of the business.

The Role

The position will initially be offered on a part-time basis with guaranteed hours, with additional overtime available when project requirements increase.

As the company continues to grow, there is potential for the role to develop into a full-time position.

About You
