Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a caring Personal Care Assistant for a male learner group in a specialist Post-16 education setting in Harborne, Birmingham. The role focuses on personal care, mobility support and daily living assistance to help learners build independence and confidence.

You will work with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure safe, respectful and dignified support, following care plans and safeguarding procedures, with training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and compassionate.
• Confident supporting learners with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities.
• Honest in providing personal care in a professional and dignified manner.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and daily living support (toileting, hygiene, dressing).
• Assisting male learners with mobility and daily activities throughout the day.
• Helping learners access classrooms and campus spaces safely and respectfully.
• Encouraging independence and life-skills development.
• Providing support during lessons and practical activities as needed.
• Maintaining professional boundaries and building trusting relationships with learners.
