Job summary

UKCIL Ltd in Bath is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support two boys aged 8 and 4 who have high-need, nonverbal autism. The role is afternoon/evening sessions in the home, with term-time and school-holiday hours.

You will provide practical care, help with meals, clothing changes, pad changes, and engage in sensory-based play while ensuring safety and supervision. We value patience, empathy, and reliability, with First Aid qualification preferred.

Qualifications

• First Aid qualification or willingness to complete one.
• Compassionate, calm, and attentive.
• Experience with children with high-needs autism is a plus but training available.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical support and a caring presence during afternoon/evening sessions at home.
• Assist with eating, changing clothes, and pad changes for each child.
• Engage the boys in simple, sensory-based play aligned with their interests.
• Maintain a safe environment with doors and gates secured and close supervision.
