Job summary

UKCIL is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support two brothers, aged 7 and 8, in Prudhoe. The role is 4 hours per week term time and 8 hours per week in school holidays, paid at £14.67 per hour.

Responsibilities include helping with personal care, taking the boys to leisure activities, and providing constant supervision due to autism and communication needs. A driving license is preferred but not essential; DBS check will be carried out by the employer.

Qualifications

• Experience of working as a support worker with children or adults with complex needs, especially autism.
• Knowledge of PECS and/or speech therapy is an advantage.
• Respect confidentiality and be reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and supervision for two boys.
• Take the boys out separately in the community for leisure activities.
• Support in swimming and other activities; ensure safety in all settings.
