Job summary

Salutem Care and Education in Stourport-on-Severn is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our supported living service. You will help residents with daily care and activities, promoting independence and social engagement within a warm, supportive team.

No prior experience in complex care is required as full training is provided. A driver is advantageous due to our rural location, and you will participate in a role that values compassion, patience, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Kind, empathetic, patient, and a real team player.
• Comfortable with physical interaction - residents are affectionate.
• Experienced in learning disabilities or behaviours that challenge or are new to care and ready to learn.
• A driver - this would be a big plus due to our rural location
• Experience with medication administration is helpful, but not essential - we provide full training.

Responsibilities

• Support with personal care, medication, and daily routines.
• Encourage community outings (pubs, cafés, shopping trips).
• Lead in-house activities like colouring, puzzles, and dance sessions.
• Promote independence with household tasks and finances.
• Offer warmth, kindness, and daily interaction.
