Job summary

Langford View Care Centre in Oxfordshire is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team, preparing meals, snacks and drinks for residents and getting to know their likes and dislikes so that mealtimes are a highlight.

No previous catering experience is required as training is provided; a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is helpful. OSJCT offers training, development and a range of benefits as part of its not-for-profit ethos.

Qualifications

• No previous catering experience required; training provided.
• Desire to cook and maintain high kitchen hygiene standards.
• Good communication and a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious meals, snacks and drinks for residents.
• Get to know residents and their likes/dislikes to make mealtimes enjoyable.
• Work with the catering team to deliver meals across the home.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene standards and follow food safety practices.
