Job summary

Care UK in Leatherhead is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to help deliver nutritious meals and maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen. You’ll assist with food preparation, safe storage of ingredients, and keeping utensils tidy, under the guidance of the Head Chef and Home Manager.

No prior experience required thanks to our Catering Academy; we offer training, development, flexible hours including alternate weekends, and access to apprenticeships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and related areas.
• Preparation of produce for mealtime, for example vegetable preparation and making of sandwiches.
• Ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable produce.
• Safely storing cleaning materials.
• Ensure all cooking utensils and pots are cleaned to the required standards.
• Carry out any tasks assigned by the Head / Second Chef or Home Manager.
