Job summary

Avery Healthcare seeks a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant for Guildford House Care Home in Surrey. You will help in food prep, maintain high hygiene, and support a caring, collaborative kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Holding Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and high standards of personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Able to handle a demanding workload with physical effort.
• Demonstrates initiative and flexible, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean kitchen area.
• Ensure safe food handling and hygiene standards are met.
• Assist with ordering and supply of kitchen items.
• Respect residents and visitors, upholding dignity and individualized care.
