Qualifications

• Have Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Able to sustain a high level of physical effort and handle a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and a flexible, team‑oriented approach.
• Exhibit a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.

Responsibilities

• Support the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for safe production of beverages and meals.
• Ensure high quality and comprehensive service is delivered to residents.
• Understand and apply safe food handling principles to uphold hygiene standards.
• Contribute to team working, respond positively to colleagues, and follow instructions promptly.
• Advise on supply and quality of items, ensuring timely ordering of replacements.
• Act respectfully towards residents and visitors, upholding dignity and individuality.
