Job summary

Right Now Group are recruiting for Cargo Agents to join a leading cargo ground handling company based at Heathrow Airport. You will work in a busy, fast-paced cargo operation, coordinating with airline partners and warehouse teams to ensure goods are processed efficiently and securely.

You'll play an important role in the day-to-day cargo office, supporting customers, airline representatives, warehouse staff and drivers, with duties including paperwork, inquiries and payments, plus a 4 on/4 off

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and navigate different IT systems.
• Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
• A professional and customer-focused approach.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
• Previous office or administration experience would be advantageous.
• Fluent spoken and written English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Creating, updating and maintaining accurate records of all cargo consignments using airline computer systems.
• Sorting, checking and distributing cargo documentation in line with individual airline requirements.
• Assisting customers collecting cargo, answering queries and processing payments for any applicable charges.
• Managing incoming telephone calls and responding to enquiries professionally, politely and efficiently.
• Liaising with warehouse colleagues, drivers and airline representatives to coordinate cargo movements and resolve any issues.
• Carrying out relevant Dangerous Goods checks in accordance with IATA regulations, alongside AVI (Live Animal) checks where required.
• Ensuring all paperwork, cargo information and operational records are accurate and up to date.

Right Now Group are currently recruiting for Cargo Agents to join our client, a leading cargo ground handling company based at Heathrow Airport!

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a busy, fast-paced cargo operation, working closely with airline partners to ensure goods and consignments are processed efficiently and transported safely and securely across the world.

You’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the cargo office, supporting customers, airline representatives, warehouse teams and drivers to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Location:

Feltham (Heathrow Airport area)

Salary:

£30,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience. Bonus: Annual attendance bonus, paid at the end of the year.

Shift Pattern:

4 on / 4 off rotation a mixture of 2 days, 07:00 - 19:00 and 2 nights, 19:00 - 07:00.

Key Responsibilities as a Cargo Agent:

Due to the nature of the aviation industry, successful candidates must be able to complete the required pre-employment security checks. These include:

• A fully checkable 5-year employment and/or education history.
• A DBS check (criminal record check).
