Student Roost is seeking a Caretaker for Zinc Quarter to maintain building safety and operations for residents. The role includes night shifts and coordinating with contractors, ensuring compliance and timely repairs while keeping residents safe and comfortable.

The ideal candidate will bring a friendly, service-oriented approach, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic student housing environment.

Location: Student Roost Zinc Quarter

Salary: £26,227.50

Hours: Average of 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 8pm to 8am.

About Student Roost

Student living is about so much more than just a room, it’s about feeling at home. As a caretaker at Student Roost, you are involved in all aspects of building maintenance, from carrying out small repairs to escorting third-party contractors to any issues within your building. You will also take the lead on compliance checks with your keen eye for detail and precise reporting skills. And just as you care for our buildings and the people within them, we’ll take care of you.

• Resilient, with the ability to get stuck in with messy jobs such as drain blockages and bin store management.
• Solutions orientated, with the ability to think on your feet.
• Electrical training will be provided however any additional maintenance qualifications are welcomed, but not essential.
