Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) to appoint a reliable Caretaker on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful candidate will support site maintenance, security, carry out basic repairs, and ensure buildings and grounds remain safe and well maintained.

Candidates should have prior caretaker or maintenance experience, awareness of health and safety, the ability to work independently, and strong communication

• Maintain and secure the school site to ensure a safe environment.

The school is looking to appoint a reliable Caretaker on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Caretaker will support the general maintenance and security of the school site, carry out basic repairs and ensure the buildings and grounds remain safe, secure and well maintained.

The successful Caretaker will have:

• Previous experience working as a Caretaker or in a similar maintenance role
• Experience carrying out general repairs and maintenance
• Good awareness of health and safety
• The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A reliable, proactive and flexible approach to work
