Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) that is seeking a reliable Caretaker for an immediate start to support site maintenance and security.

The role involves carrying out basic repairs, ensuring buildings and grounds remain safe, secure and well maintained, and providing proactive support to keep the school running smoothly on a long-term temporary basis.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Caretaker or in a similar maintenance role.
• Experience carrying out general repairs and maintenance.
• Good awareness of health and safety.
• The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A reliable, proactive and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Support the general maintenance and security of the school site.
• Carry out basic repairs and ensure buildings and grounds remain safe and well maintained.
• Coordinate with school operations to keep daily activities running smoothly.
