Job summary

Gateway Group Services Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to maintain two Southampton developments. You will handle gardening tasks and cleaning of communal areas, ensuring high standards of presentation and safety. The role requires a full driving license, reliability, and willingness to work Saturdays when required.

The position offers 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, plus pension and company benefits.

• Pruning trees, shrubs and plants.
• General garden tidying and waste disposal.
• Hoovering carpets and floors in communal areas.
• Dusting and polishing furniture and surfaces.
• Washing down walls, doors and skirting boards.
• Sweeping and mopping hard floors.
• Flick testing, alarm testing, AOV testing.
• Fault reporting.

As we continue to grow, we seek passionate and driven individuals with cleaning and gardening skills to join our friendly team.

This role offers diverse responsibilities, including maintenance and upkeep of the communal areas of two prestigious developments in Southampton, including, but not limited to:

• Grass cutting and lawn maintenance
• Hedge trimming and shaping
• Strimming and edging grass areas

• Pruning trees, shrubs, and plants
• General garden tidying and waste disposal
• Hoovering carpets and floors in communal areas

• Flick testing
• Alarm testing
• AOV testing
• Fault reporting

What You Need

• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Maintains a professional and friendly approach at all times
• Follows health and safety procedures at all times

• Is physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
• Is available for Saturday work as and when required
• Has a full, clean manual driving license (essential for the role)
• Previous caretaker experience (preferred)

Job Location: Southampton
