A leading school in Kingston upon Thames seeks an experienced Facilities Professional to ensure the cleanliness, security, and upkeep of its premises. The role involves overseeing day-to-day facilities management, working with contractors, and coordinating events, supported by a competitive salary and opportunities for overtime.
Working in a team of three, we have an opportunity for an experienced facilities professional to join our team at Kingston Grammar School. Ideally, candidates will have previous experience in a school or education setting. The successful applicant will provide an effective and responsive service, ensuring the cleanliness, appearance, and security of the school site are maintained to the highest standards.
The core responsibilities include the day-to-day upkeep of the school buildings, grounds, and equipment. The role involves working with external contractors for both emergency and routine matters, coordinating school and external events, carrying out risk assessments, and maintaining inspection records of all caretaking tasks.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, on a rotating shift pattern. The role offers 25 days of holiday (rising to 27 days after 5 years of service). There is also the opportunity to work significant overtime hours. Free school lunches are available during term time.
Circa £27,000, depending on experience. Significant overtime opportunities are available.
