A leading organization in Wrexham is seeking a Carer Support Worker to enhance the well-being of unpaid carers, families, and friends affected by mental illness and substance misuse. The role involves providing support interventions and collaborating with various organizations. Ideal candidates will have experience in social care and a passion for helping others.
To be agreed (Wrexham/South Denbighshire)
Under the direction of their line manager, the post holder will undertake support planning, provide one-to-one and group support interventions to improve the lives of unpaid carers, families, and friends affected by serious mental illness and/or substance misuse issues.
The aim is to equip unpaid carers, families, and friends with skills, knowledge, and coping strategies to enhance and maintain their well-being. This will involve visiting clients in their homes, within the community, at hospital settings, and across groups established in Wrexham and South Denbighshire, enabling carers to manage the impact of their caring roles.
The post holder will work collaboratively with statutory, voluntary, private sector organizations, and community facilities to ensure access to existing services.
