Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in Memory Care Unit or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• A genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Personal Hygiene, Mobility, Meal Preparation and setting up meals.
• Emotional Support and Companionship: Providing empathy, listening, and encouragement; engaging residents in conversations and activities.
• Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and safe environment including laundry and tidying.
• Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy: Observing residents for health changes and reporting concerns to medical staff; monitoring vital signs.
• Other: Answer calls for assistance, maintain confidentiality, and ensure safety in resident apartments.
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff; perform other duties as assigned by management.

Type: Full-Time

Shift:

• Only Assisted Living: Day shift (6am-2pm), Various schedule, Weekend availability needed
• 2 days-Assisted Living, 2 days-Memory Care: Day shift (6am-2pm), Various schedule, Weekend availability needed

Wage:$18.58-$24.24/hr DOE

Attendance bonus: The perfect attendance bonus in a pay period will be $100.00 for a full-time employee and $75.00 for a part-time employee.

Job Summary

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, includingassisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Personal Hygiene:Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance:Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation:Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship:

• Providing Emotional Support:Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.
• Companionship:Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.
• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
