Job summary

Bedford Academy, part of HEART Academies Trust, is seeking a careers and work experience co-ordinator on a term-time basis. The role is 37 hours across 40 weeks, starting on DBS clearance with no visa sponsorship available.

You will deliver the school\'s careers programme and manage its work experience programme, engaging with students, parents, employers and education providers. The successful candidate will hold a Level 4 guidance qualification and have experience of providing information,

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (A levels or equivalent)
• Minimum Level 4 guidance qualification
• Experience of working with adults and young people 1:1 and in groups
• Experience of providing information, advice and guidance on learning and work
• Understanding of how students\' skills support self-esteem and future success
• Motivating staff and students
• Willingness to learn

• Ensure continuous improvement in provision across areas of responsibility and develop the workforce
• Motivate and lead others as an exceptional practitioner and reliable leader
• Work with students, parents, staff, employers, education providers and voluntary organisations to implement the school\'s careers programme
• Take responsibility for administering the work experience programme
• Contribute to the high standards set by the staff team, developing best practice across the school
