Job summary

Sandwell College Group is seeking a dedicated Careers Officer to join our Careers Team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will deliver one-to-one careers guidance and group sessions, and coordinate the Careers Education Programme across campuses.

You will build relationships with employers and universities, monitor learner progression, and support Gatsby Benchmarks to ensure high-quality IAG services across the college network.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering careers advice and guidance in an educational setting.
• Experience working with young people, including those with additional needs.
• Experience of UCAS processes and higher education progression.
• Knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks and careers quality frameworks.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle or ability to travel to our different sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one careers guidance and group sessions.
• Support the delivery of the College's Careers Education Programme.
• Coordinate careers events, workshops, and UCAS activities.
• Build relationships with employers, universities, and external organisations.
• Monitor and report on learner engagement, progression, and careers-related KPIs.
• Support the College in meeting Gatsby Benchmarks and careers quality standards.
• Attend external meetings and represent the College when required.
• Keep learners and staff informed about career opportunities, labour market trends, and progression routes.
