Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group in Berkshire is seeking a Careers Adviser to deliver impartial information, advice and guidance to students across Strodes College and Windsor College. The role focuses on employability, progression planning, apprenticeships, further and higher education routes, and job opportunities.

You will support the UCAS process, attend and organise careers events, and contribute to staff CPD while working within 39 weeks per academic year on a permanent, term-time basis.

Qualifications

• Level 6 Advice and Guidance qualification preferred
• Level 4 qualification with relevant experience required or considered with commitment to development

Responsibilities

• Help students identify realistic and aspirational progression pathways, supporting them to make informed decisions and achieve their full potential.
• Focus on employability and progression, assisting with career planning, apprenticeships, further and higher education routes, and job opportunities.
• Support the UCAS process, including applications, interviews, and student finance.
• Contribute to staff CPD where appropriate.
• Lead on careers-related events and activities across the College, working with curriculum departments, the Core Studies team, and the Careers and Placements team.
• Organize employer talks, university visits, HE fairs, progression events, and external partnerships.
• Support key college-wide priorities such as transition programs, external audits and inspections (including Matrix and Ofsted), and tracking student destinations and outcomes.
