Brockenhurst College is seeking a Careers Adviser to support the Careers Department in delivering high-quality information, advice and guidance to students. You will help learners make informed progression choices and work towards positive destinations.
The role involves 1-1 guidance interviews, assisting with UCAS and HE applications, CV preparation, and supporting the development of the careers service. A level or equivalent and IAG Level 4 are preferred.
liaising with local and national employers to ensure students are provided with accurate and up-to-date information regarding opportunities available and market developments. Facilitate 'drop-in' and group sessions to students liaising with curriculum on topics and subjects to support students with their progression and career planning. Supporting the Careers Leader in the planning and delivery of careers events as part of the College Careers Education Programme. Attend Open Evenings/Parent Evenings and other external careers events as agreed by the Careers Leader to support impartial careers information and advice to partners, potential and current students, and their families. Supporting students in the use of computer aided CEIAG and Labour Market Intelligence (LMI) packages to help them understand career options and pathways and access information on the current job market and apprenticeships.

As Careers Adviser you will support the work of the Careers Department in the delivery and provision of high-quality careers information, advice and guidance to students, helping them to make informed choices about progression, and supporting them towards positive destinations.
In return,you will receive a competitive salary of £24,834-£27,211, per annum (pro rata DOE).
