Job summary

Bradford College is seeking a part-time Work-Based Learning Coach to support students on work placements and Entry Level 3 courses. You will adapt resources for SEND, foster independence, and liaise with local employers to secure suitable placements as part of the curriculum and work placements team.

You will travel to community-based placements, maintain risk assessments, and promote outcomes aligned with EHC plans.

Qualifications

A Level 3 qualification (e.g. A level, NVQ 3).
GCSE 4-9 (A*- C) or level 2 in Maths and English or equivalent; ready to pass a test if needed.
Experience supporting students with disabilities in post-16 education.
Experience with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and related evidence.

Responsibilities

Provide non-teaching 1:1 and group support for students on work placements, including in community settings.
Support students on Entry Level 3 work-based learning courses, assisting tutors in practical environments.
Adapt resources and make reasonable adjustments for students with SEND, EHCPs, and SEMH needs.
Use a trauma-informed and nurturing approach to support student wellbeing and engagement.
Encourage independence and integration in workplace settings.
Liaise with local employers and organisations to secure placements in line with curriculum.
Create and maintain risk assessments for student placements.
Promote aspirational outcomes aligned with EHC Plans (employment, further learning, independent living).
