Job summary

Reed in Partnership is recruiting a Careers Adviser to support the North Sea Jobs Service, delivering tailored career guidance and employability services to UK-residents transitioning from oil and gas roles. The role involves face-to-face worker engagement and the creation of personalised progression plans.

You will work within a dynamic environment, utilising diagnostics, coaching techniques and job-search support to help clients achieve sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering careers guidance, employment support, coaching or employability services.
• Experience with labour market intelligence, vacancy matching and 1:1 case management.
• Knowledge of labour market trends, skills pathways and training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Builds strong relationships with workers through regular interactions, face-to-face where possible.
• Conducts Initial Assessments to explore aspirations and needs.
• Uses diagnostic tools to identify barriers and skills gaps.
• Develops and manages personal worker plans with tailored steps.
• Signposts to specialist defence and resettlement programmes as needed.
• Delivers group training sessions and core employability skills.
