Job summary

LHCC Group in East London is recruiting compassionate Care Workers – Mental Health to join our growing team. We provide specialist residential care, supported living and outreach services for adults with mental health needs.

You will support service users with personal care, daily living activities and promoting independence, while maintaining a safe, dignified environment. The role offers induction, CPD opportunities and clear career progression within LHCC Group.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Diploma (RQF) in Adult Care or Health & Social Care is desirable.
  • Applicants pursuing a Level 2 qualification will be considered.
  • Experience in health and social care or mental health services is desirable.
  • Strong communication, safeguarding knowledge and dignity emphasis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to adults with mental health needs.
  • Assist with personal care, daily living activities and independence.
  • Support social, recreational and community activities.
  • Assist with medication administration as directed by staff.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and supportive living environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to adults with mental health needs.
  • Assist service users with personal care, daily living activities, and promoting independence.
  • Support individuals with social, recreational, and community-based activities.
  • Assist with medication administration as directed by qualified staff.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver person‑centred care.
  • Follow all Health & Safety, CQC, safeguarding and company policies and procedures.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Level 2 Diploma (RQF) in Adult Care, Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification is desirable.
  • Applicants who are currently working towards a Level 2 qualification and are committed to completing it will also be considered.
  • Previous experience working within health and social care, supported living or mental health services is desirable.
  • Good understanding of person‑centred care, safeguarding and maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to undertake mandatory training and continuous professional development.
