Job summary

The Rehab Group in Douglas is seeking a Care Worker for the P&S service on a permanent 19-hour contract to provide personal care for adults with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs in a high-support residential setting.

The role emphasizes person-centred support, dignity and respect, teamwork, and confidentiality. QQI Level 5 in Social Care is required, together with a full clean driving licence. Closing date: 30 October 2026.

Qualifications

Minimum of QQI Level 5 in Social Care, or equivalent.
To be able to work effectively in a team providing person centered support for service users.
To be able to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of service users at all times.
Full Clean Drivers Licence

Responsibilities

Promote and actively get involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the service user.
Facilitate and implement a person centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users.
Ensure that all interactions with service users are approached with dignity, respect and equality and incorporating choice
