Job summary

Derbyshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Worker to join our night team, delivering high-quality dementia care and ensuring residents’ safety, comfort and wellbeing.

You will lead the night care team, model best practices, administer medication safely, complete care records accurately and respond effectively to emergencies, while promoting dignity, independence and a homely night-time environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care, ideally dementia care.
• Willingness to work towards a Health and Social Care qualification.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Caring, reliable and committed to person-centred care.
• Understands safeguarding responsibilities and promotes best practice.

• Has experience working within health and social care, ideally supporting people living with dementia
• Holds, or is willing to work towards, a relevant Health and Social Care qualification
• Has experience supervising or leading a team
• Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
• Is caring, reliable and committed to delivering person-centred care
