Job summary

Kingsley Healthcare is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join the care team in our facility in the United Kingdom. You will recognise and facilitate residents' daily needs, lead supervisions and appraisals, and contribute to care planning with coaching for support workers.

The role emphasises high-quality personal care and respect for residents' dignity and independence. You will report to Home Manager/Deputy Manager/Nurse and work as part of a collaborative team, fostering a caring environment

Qualifications

  • NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or working towards it.
  • Experience in a senior care role is essential.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.

Job description

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be working as part of the care team, recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents, conduct formal supervisions and appraisals, as well as, contributing to care planning and coaching support workers. With an emphasis on high quality, the purpose of the role is to maintain the personal care needs of residents, respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence.

Reports to: Home Manager/Deputy Manager/Nurse

  • Previous experience in a senior care role.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Education and qualification
  • You will have, or be working towards, NVQ3 in Health & Social Care.
