Job Title: Personal Care Support Worker

Join our team to provide personal care services to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Health Difficulties within a respite service setting. We value and respect each individual, fostering a positive behavioral support approach, community-based living, personal development, and social inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care
• Experience working in a residential or respite care setting
• Experience supporting service users with disabilities and challenging behaviors
• Understanding and knowledge of working with clients with disabilities, maintaining high standards of care in line with RehabCare’s policies and HIQA standards

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Facilitate and implement a person-centered service tailored to the needs, wishes, and requirements of service users.
2. Provide personal assistance, including personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort, hygiene, and safety.
3. Interact with service users with dignity, respect, and equality, promoting choice.
4. Participate in educational, recreational, and occupational programs to support community integration and resource access.
