About the role:

You will work on a day shift basis in a small Children’s Home in a rural community within South Powys. The home supports children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties due to their early life experiences. Your role is to create a safe, healthy, nurturing, and fulfilling home environment where children’s voices are heard and acted upon to achieve positive outcomes.

What you will do:
  • You will work on a day shift rota to provide continuous care as part of a team for the children and young people living in the home.
  • You will build positive relationships through nurturing, teaching connection with patience and calmness, and promote healthy, safe routines by creating a warm, inclusive home.
  • You will organize and promote activities that help children and young people learn new skills and explore interests, hobbies, and life skills within the home and local community.
  • You will work in partnership with families and carers to achieve the aims and objectives of the young people’s plans.
  • You will follow established policies, procedures, and legislative standards, always striving to stay updated with best practices.

Service: Children's Services

Salary: Grade 6, Point 11 to Point 14, £27,269 to £28,624 per annum, or £14.13 to £14.83 per hour.
