Job summary

Lifeways in Colchester is seeking a Care Team Leader to guide a team delivering person-centred care alongside the Service Manager. The role is full-time with rota-based shifts and an 37.5 hour week.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is welcomed.
• Experience as Care Team Leader or Senior Support Worker with leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Leading and mentoring a team of Support Workers.
• Ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered.
• Supporting individuals with daily routines and personal goals.
• Conducting staff supervisions, interviews, and ongoing development.
• Promoting best practices and safeguarding standards.
• Communicating effectively with staff, the people we support, and external professionals.
• Maintaining accurate records and using IT systems confidently.

Care Team Leader – Colchester

Salary:£13.86 per hour

Hours:Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Shifts:7:30am–3:00pm, 3:00pm–9:30pm (rota-based)

Your Role as a Care Team Leader

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and mentoring a team of Support Workers

Please note:You will be working on arota basis, andshift patterns are assigned—you will not be able to select your own shifts.
