Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society is seeking a dedicated Care Team Leader to join Hill House in Honiton for night shifts. You will oversee residents' health, care plans, and medication administration, and you will support and develop other team members while maintaining high standards of compassionate care.

The role requires experience as a Carer, a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or progress toward it, strong organisation, and ability to lead on shift.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or be working towards it.
• Demonstrate good organisation and staff management skills.
• Skilled in writing and updating Care Plans and competent in medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Regular monitoring of residents' health, care and social needs.

• Lead on shift as Senior Carer and respond to emergencies.

We are now looking for a dedicated Care Team Leader to join our team at Hill House.

Role: Care Team Leader (Senior Care Assistant) - Nights

Location: Hill House, Combes Raleigh, Honiton, EX14 4UQ

Pay: £14.77 p/h - £15.24 p/h

Hours: 36.75

Shifts: Week 1 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Week 2 Monday, Friday, Saturday 19.30 to 07.45

The Role of Care Team Leader - Nights

• Our Care Team Leaders sit at the heart of what we do. As the recognised Senior Carer on a shift, you'll have overall responsibility for regular monitoring of the health, care and social needs of our residents.
• Preparation, implementation and review of their personal care plans, including the administering of medication.
• You’ll supervise, support coach and develop other team members, and liaise with people involved in resident's care, as well as with the residents themselves. Put simply, you’ll ensure residents' needs and wishes are at the centre of the care we provide.
• As the Senior Carer on that shift, you will take the lead when staff or residents need help, such as in the event of an emergency.

About You

• You must be an experienced Carer, ideally with a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or be committed to working towards this.
• As a Care Team Leader, you must be able to demonstrate good organisation and staff management skills. You'll already be skilled in writing and updating Care Plans, and competent in the administration of Medication.
• Most of all, you'll be passionate and committed to providing exceptional care to our residents, their families and friends.
