Job summary

Codi Group in Wales is looking for an 18-hour permanent Care Worker to join our Dan y Bryn team near Pontardawe. You will motivate and lead the care team, safeguard residents, and maintain records with care and empathy.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in care, NVQ/QCF Level 2 with a plan to progress to Level 3, and experience with care plans, risk assessments, and audits. We support professional growth and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a care worker role.
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 (or equivalent) and a willingness to work towards Level 3.
• Experience in implementing and updating care plans, risk assessments, and audits.
• Leadership experience, including team management, supervision, and conducting annual appraisals.

Responsibilities

• Motivating and leading the care team to provide exceptional support.
• Ensuring safety and well-being by following all safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Supervising & mentoring Care Workers to help them develop and thrive.
• Maintaining records and documenting any concerns accurately.
