Job summary

Sense is recruiting a Care Team Leader for Newton Court in Peterborough, to lead a team of support workers and coordinate day-to-day service delivery. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, offering £27,983 per annum and a two-week rota that includes mornings, evenings and weekends.

A BSL Level 2 qualification and a full UK driving licence are essential. This post is open to female applicants only as a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with adults with complex disabilities or sensory impairment.
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a similar setting.
• Experience conducting supervisions and supporting rota management.
• Full UK driving licence and BSL Level 2 are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervising a team of support workers, including carrying out regular supervision sessions and appraisals
• Coaching and guiding staff to maintain the highest standards of support
• Supporting rota management and the day-to-day running of the service alongside the Manager
• Supporting the recruitment and induction of new team members
• Supporting the people we support to take part in meaningful activities and access their communities
• Contributing to person-centred plans and guidelines, working alongside families and other professionals
• Keeping accurate records and ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are upheld

Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for a Care Team Leader to join our supported living service at Newton Court in Peterborough on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week, at £27,983.00 per annum (£14.35 per hour). The shift pattern includes mornings, evenings and weekends on a two-week rota.

A BSL Level 2 qualification is essential for this role, as is a full UK driving licence.
