Job summary

Sense is hiring a Registered Care Manager for its Kingstanding residential CQC service in Birmingham. You will lead a dedicated team, oversee daily operations, manage rotas, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality care that meets regulatory standards.

The role requires prior care-management experience, NVQ Level 5 in Leadership (or willingness to work towards it), and a full manual UK driving license. It is a permanent, full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week and a salary of £36,992 per

Qualifications

  • Prior manager experience in a Care setting such as Community/Residential/Supported Living.
  • Desirable knowledge of sensory impairments and disabilities.
  • Full manual UK driving license.
  • Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Sense funding).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the residential service and ensure compliance with CQC standards.
  • Lead, supervise and mentor the team including Deputy Manager and Support Workers; manage rotas.
  • Maintain high-quality care and drive continuous service improvements.

In this position, you will work alongside a great team and oversee the daily operations of a responsive, innovative, and high-quality service that meets our standards; effectively manage a dedicated team, including a Deputy Manager and Support Workers; be responsible for tasks such as rotas, supervising and mentoring the team to ensure that all shared responsibilities are fulfilled and systems maintained which guarantees compliance.

About Kingstanding Service:
  • 5 bed home, supporting 5 people
  • Supports individuals with disabilities with complex needs such as; vision/hearing difficulties, communication challenges and mobility impairments
  • Residential service, Good rating by CQC
Requirements for the role:
  • Essential- Prior manager experience in a Care setting such as Community/Residential/Supported Living
  • Desirable- Knowledge of multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities
  • Preferred- A full manual UK driving license as we have manual company vehicles used to drive and take individuals to appointments, activities outside of the home and trips.
  • Preferred- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards this (Sense can fund this)
