Job Title: Team Leader at Avocet Court Care Home

As a Team Leader at Avocet Court Care Home, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and supporting our dedicated care team to deliver high-quality care and create meaningful moments for our residents.

Located in a residential area in Ipswich, our 115-bedroom care home is surrounded by beautiful gardens. About The Role

The Team Leader plays a key role in care delivery within the home, supporting us to maintain the highest standards of care across all areas. This includes pathways to CHAPS or nursing roles, fully funded apprenticeships for NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, and other options tailored to your interests.

Salary

£13.07 per hour

Shift Pattern

45 hours per week, working 12.25-hour shifts on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership and direction to the care team during your shifts.
2. Motivate and inspire the team to deliver exceptional care outcomes.
3. Manage supervision, appraisals, and performance reviews, celebrating individual achievements and supporting team development.
4. Perform clinical duties such as monitoring blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, blood oxygen levels, and urine output.

Training, Skills & Experience Required

1. A genuine passion for care and putting residents' needs first.
2. Experience in a senior care role.
3. NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
4. Effective communication skills.
5. Proven leadership skills in supporting and motivating a team.
