Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Care Team Leader for Cheriton Care Home in Dorchester. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver compassionate, person-centred care, supporting residents with daily living and fostering independence. Your leadership will create a warm, safe home where residents feel valued and at ease.

The role offers progression through funded training up to QCF Level 5, a pension scheme and flexible benefits, with on-demand pay to support staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ right to work in the UK.
• At least 2 years’ experience in social care.
• QCF Level 2 (or above).
• 42 hours per week (day shifts).
• Availability to work alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, providing high-quality care and companionship.
• Support residents with personal care and daily living.
• Encourage independence and wellbeing.
• Plan and take part in meaningful activities and outings.
• Oversee medication administration and accurate record-keeping.
• Work closely with families and healthcare professionals.
• Support and guide the care team, stepping up in the absence of senior management.
