Job summary

Lifeways Welton is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team on full-time and part-time contracts. The role offers a salary of £12.71 per hour and involves supporting the person in the community, at the Day Centre, and with family interactions.

We provide training and support, emphasize excellent communication, and prefer drivers to assist with the Motability car. DBS checks are provided and Lifeways Rewards and Blue Light Card eligibility are benefits.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with family and core team.
• Driver is preferred to drive the person’s Motability car.
• Open to providing care with training and support tailored to the customer(s).

Responsibilities

• Support the person at Welton across community, Day Centre, and home.
• Liaise with the person’s family and core team to ensure effective support.
• Maintain safety and dignity while assisting with daily activities.

Your Role as a Support Worker

The person we support at Welton has a variety of activities he enjoys out in the community, at his Day Centre, and with his family who live close by.

You will need to possess excellent communication skills and be able to confidently and professionally liaise with his family and other members of his core team to ensure you support him effectively.

A driver is preferred for this position to be able to drive the person’s Motability car.

You will be supported throughout your time with our company by our friendly and supportive staff and management, and will receive additional training tailored to the needs of the customer(s) you support.

Whether you’re an experienced Care Assistant, Support Worker, or Healthcare Assistant—or someone new to care with a passion for helping others—Lifeways will provide the training and support you need to thrive.
