Homecare First is looking for compassionate and proactive Support Workers to join an established team supporting an adult with complex care and rehabilitation needs in their own home. The role focuses on promoting independence and community participation, while providing safe, consistent support with daily living.

The client is deaf and communicates via BSL, lip reading and speech; BSL skills would be an advantage.

Qualificações

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV).
• Willing to undertake relevant training.

Responsabilidades

• Support with personal care and daily routines.
• Assist mobility, transfers and repositioning.
• Support rehabilitation and therapy activities.
• Medication support and accurate care records.
• Support diabetes management and blood glucose monitoring
• Prepare meals and support good nutrition and hydration
• Support appointments, shopping, social activities and community access
• Drive WAV for outings, appointments and errands
• Support safe use of mobility and rehabilitation equipment
• Monitor wellbeing and report concerns
• Use clear, accessible communication and promote independence

Conhecimentos

Full UK driving licence
