Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist an adult with complex care needs at home in Wickford, Essex. The role focuses on promoting independence, rehabilitation, and an active lifestyle within a supportive team.

Candidates should be caring and patient, with strong lip-reading communication. Full training is provided; two-person care is standard, with potential for flexible scheduling and ongoing client assignments.

Qualifications

• A caring, patient, and compassionate nature.
• Excellent communication skills, including speaking clearly to support lip reading.
• Experience in complex care is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
• Confidence working as part of a two-person team.
• A full UK driving licence (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team.
• Provide two-person (2:1) support and assist with transfers as required.
• Promote independence and assist rehabilitation and activities of daily living.
