Job summary

Confidential is seeking Care Support Workers for care homes, nursing homes and residential settings in Swindon and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes person-centred care, supporting daily needs and promoting residents’ wellbeing.

Candidates should be caring, reliable and flexible, with good communication and teamwork skills. Various shifts (days, nights, weekends, bank holidays) are available through agency placements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care home, nursing home or supported living is desirable.
• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• Understanding of person-centred care, dignity and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans.
• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility, transfers and repositioning, in line with training and care plans.
• Assist with meals, eating and drinking where required.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Encourage residents to maintain their independence and participate in activities.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate daily records and care documentation.
• Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and confidentiality procedures.
• Work effectively with nurses, senior carers and care home management.
