Job summary

Lifeways in Burton-on-Trent is hiring a Care Support Worker to help people with learning disabilities and autism live as independently as possible. This full‑time role (35 hours per week) includes shift patterns from 7:30am–2:30pm and 2:30pm–9:30pm, with every other weekend required.

No prior care experience is required; we value carers with compassion, reliability and enthusiasm. Lifeways provides induction, training, funded qualifications, a DBS check, and opportunities to grow within a warm,

About the Role

Full-Time Position: 35 Hours per Week

Shift patterns include:

• 7:30am - 2:30pm
• 2:30pm - 9:30pm

Full-time roles include working every other weekend.

As a Support Worker, you'll help people with learning disabilities and autism live as independently as possible, supporting them with daily routines, community activities, hobbies, appointments, and achieving their personal goals.

About River Lodge

River Lodge is home to eight adults and provides specialist support for people with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.

Located close to Burton town centre, the service is well connected to local amenities, parks, cafés and community facilities. Supporting people to get out and about, enjoy activities, and remain connected to their local community is a big part of what we do.

Our team works together to create a welcoming, positive environment where people feel valued, respected and empowered to live life on their own terms.
