Overview

Care & Support Team Leader – We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join an Extra Care service at Wood Court in Edgware.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, across a 7-day rota basis with a requirement to participate in on-call duties approximately once every four weeks.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Care Manager, oversee care allocations, supervise Care & Support Workers, write care and support plans; plan rotas and take on shift lead responsibilities.
  • Manage the team for annual leave, sickness and performance management, as well as team building and forward planning.
  • Be a senior member of staff, efficient, motivated and organized; able to work to deadlines and meet set KPIs and objectives.
What you will need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have a passion for working closely with the elderly and want to constantly promote and support our customer's well-being. As a Team Leader and senior member of staff you will be efficient, motivated and organized; being able to work to deadlines and meet set KPIs and objectives. You will need the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Experience writing & reviewing care plans and risk assessments
  • Experience of delivering personal care & support to vulnerable customers
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations
  • Some line management experience
  • Effective staff management skills
  • Previous Team Leader experience
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • We are particularly keen to hear from those with any of the above additional skills
