Housing Plus Group is seeking an Accountant - Care & Support to provide high-quality financial management, insight and control across its care entities, Housing for Older People services and, where required, the landlord entity.

Reporting to the Head of Finance - Care & Support, the postholder will support robust financial planning, accurate reporting and effective decision-making across the Care & Support Directorate, combining management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Active study towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Alternatively, at least three years in a senior finance role with AAT.

Responsabilités

• Prepare accurate management accounts for the Care business stream and Housing for Older People services.
• Explain financial performance and variances to budget holders and operational colleagues.
• Provide business partnering and high-quality financial insight to enable informed decisions.
• Support annual budget setting and in-year forecasting.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and prepare scenario modelling.
• Support year-end procedures, audit preparation and liaison with external auditors.
• Assist with statutory financial statements for Choices Housing Association and Care Plus.
• Prepare financial information for business cases, service reviews and transformation projects.
• Assist with bids and tenders for services within the care domain.
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures and governance.
• Manage and develop a small team of Assistant Accountants.
