Reporting to the Head of Finance - Care & Support, the postholder will support robust financial planning, accurate reporting and effective decision-making across the Care & Support Directorate.
The role combines management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, business partnering and team leadership. The successful candidate will act as a trusted financial partner to budget holders and operational teams, providing clear financial insight, supporting annual budget setting and in-year forecasting, identifying risks and opportunities, and preparing scenario modelling to inform strategic decisions.
The role also includes supporting year-end and audit activity, assisting with statutory financial statements for Choices Housing Association and Care Plus while they remain separate legal entities, strengthening financial controls, and managing and developing a small team of Assistant Accountants.
We are looking for a collaborative and commercially aware finance professional who can combine strong technical capability with clear communication, sound judgement and effective stakeholder engagement.
