Job summary

McCarthy Stone in Whitley Bay is seeking a Care Supervisor to lead a caring team in a modern community for older adults. The role focuses on enabling residents to live independently, overseeing the Care and Support team, ensuring safety, coordinating activities, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

You will work a mix of day and evening shifts across weekdays and weekends, with contracted 33.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care or support environment.
• Prefer Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care; those with Level 2 will be supported to upgrade.
• Warm, friendly, organised and self‑motivated with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Care and Support team and the residents’ community.
• Ensure safety and coordinate activities to promote wellbeing.
• Create a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for older adults.
