Job summary

Bluebird Care Cardiff and The Vale is seeking a Care Supervisor to oversee care teams in Cardiff and the surrounding area. You will supervise care assistants, coordinate rosters, and ensure high-quality, person-centred care while safeguarding dignity and privacy.

In this role you will conduct assessments, mentor staff, and lead quality assurance efforts. The position includes an on-call component and the opportunity to develop within a supportive, Equality Employer environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing home care and maintaining high standards of service.
• Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
• Minimum QCF Level 2 qualification; Level 3 enrolment available during employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments with customers (and representatives) to tailor care plans.
• Guide care assistants and match them to customers; provide training and supervision.
• Monitor service quality and implement improvements where needed.
• Participate in on-call rota and arrange cover for staff absences; manage risk assessments and MAR distribution.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
