Job summary

Somerset Care Group is seeking a Care Supervisor at the Halcon Centre in Taunton to lead a team delivering person-centred care for residents, including those with dementia. The role ensures safe medication practices and proactive care planning.

You will support mealtimes, activities and governance, driving audits and high standards while upholding the company values and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Level 3 QCF qualification in Health & Social Care.
• 3-5 years' experience in care and support, including dementia and residential care.
• Experience leading a team and managing medication within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Familiar with end-to-end medication audits, ordering and administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering person-centred care for residents, including those with dementia.
• Create care plans, assist residents through mealtimes, engage in activities and ensure best practices.
• Oversee medication management and carry out audits.
• Provide strong leadership to empower the team to deliver high standards of care.

About the role:

As a Care Supervisor at Halcon, you'll play a crucial role in:

• Leading a team in providing person-centred care for residents, including those with dementia.
• Creating care plans, assisting residents through mealtimes, engaging in activities, and ensuring that the team follows best practices.
• Overseeing medication management and ensuring safe practices in medication administration and audits.
• Providing strong leadership and team leading, empowering your team to deliver the highest standards of care

What we're looking for:

• Level 3 QCF qualification in Health & Social Care.
• 3-5 years experience in care and support, including dementia care and residential care settings.
• Proven experience in team leading, providing leadership, conducting medication management, and working within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Familiarity with end-to-end medication audits, ordering, and administering medication.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
• A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for people
• Able to work alternate weekends
• Hours available (per week): 37
