Job summary

Somerset Care Group is seeking a Care Supervisor at Frith House, Burnham On Sea. You will lead a team to deliver person-centred care, including residents with dementia, and coordinate care plans, mealtime assistance, and activities while upholding best practice and safety standards.

The role requires Level 2 QCF in Health & Social Care or willingness to pursue Level 3, with 42 hours per week and weekend availability. DBS checks and structured supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 2 QCF in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards Level 3).
• Experience in care and support, including dementia and residential settings.
• Proven leadership and medication management within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience with end-to-end medication audits, ordering and administration.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Able to work alternate weekends.
• Hours per week: 42 hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in providing person-centred care for residents, including those with dementia.
• Create care plans, assist residents through mealtimes, engage in activities and ensure best practices are followed.
• Oversee medication management and conduct audits to ensure safety and accuracy.

About the role:

As a Care Supervisor at Frith House, you'll play a crucial role in:

• Leading a team in providing person-centred care for residents, including those with dementia.
• Creating care plans, assisting residents through mealtimes, engaging in activities, and ensuring that the team follows best practices.
• Overseeing medication management and ensuring safe practices in medication administration and audits.
• Providing strong leadership and team leading, empowering your team to deliver the highest standards of care

What we're looking for:

• Level 2 QCF qualification in Health & Social Care (or those willing to work towards Level 3).
• Experience in care and support, including dementia care and residential care settings.
• Proven experience in team leading, providing leadership, conducting medication management, and working within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Familiarity with end-to-end medication audits, ordering, and administering medication.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
• A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for people
• Able to work alternate weekends
• Hours available (per week): 42 Hours per week
