Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Care Services Team Leader for The Trees Short Breaks in Hinckley to deliver person-centred care on a 30‑hour fixed-term contract. The role requires supervision and safeguarding knowledge, a commitment to high-quality care and flexible working to meet the needs of a 24/7 service.

You will provide direct care, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or managerial experience in a social care setting.
• Strong IT and written skills to maintain clear, concise records.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and regulatory standards (Care Quality Commission).
• Ability to analyse information and make defensible risk-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to adults using the services.
• Lead, motivate and support the care team to deliver high-quality care.
• Ensure compliance with audit/inspection visits and safety regulations.
