Job summary

Crystal Care Collection Limited is seeking a proactive Care Manager to assist the General Manager in launching and running Foxcrest Hills, our care home in Coalville, opening January 2027. The role requires an NVQ Level 5 or current progression toward it, with a focus on empowering residents and supporting staff.

You will act as the Home lead in the GM's absence, participate in on-call duties, supervise care planning, medication management, and staff scheduling while ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 5 or working towards is required.
• Previous care home management experience is preferred.
• Able to coach and support care staff in planning and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge of the Home in the absence of the General Manager.
• Participate in the on-call rota for out of hours management.
• Oversee residents' needs and inform relevant agencies and relatives as required.
• Monitor and manage PCS compliance.
• Provide coaching and support for team members to develop care planning skills.
• Oversee ordering and booking of all medication.
• Assist with interviews, investigations and disciplinary issues.
• Assist with rota management and staffing to ensure appropriate skill mix.
• Comply with statutory and legal requirements including HACCP, COSHH and Health & Safety.

Job description

You will assist the General Manager in the overall direction, coordination, implementation control of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, vision and goals. Your role will be based in Foxcrest Hills which is well under construction and set to open in January 2027!

Key responsibilities:

• To act as person in charge of the Home in the absence of the General Manager.

• To oversee Residents needs are being met, and that relevant professional agencies and relatives where needed are informed in the best interests of the residents.
• To monitor and manage PCS compliance.
• To provide coaching and support for team members to develop their care planning skills.
• Oversee the ordering and booking in of all medication.
• Assist with interviews, investigations and disciplinary issues as required.
• Assist with rota management and staffing ensuring an appropriate skill mix of staff on shift at all times. Ensure the Coolcare rota is maintained.
• Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the homes, including HACCP, COSHH, Health and Safety, all aspects of the Care Standards Act to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.
